At approximately 6AM CST today, s90 experienced a DNS outage caused by our daily cPanel upgrades. The cause of this outage was due to a bug in cPanel causing named (DNS server) to not serve DNS records correctly. We were aware of the problem within minutes, although due to there being no fix from cPanel it took approximately 4 hours to resolve.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the outage, however unforutnately as this was a cPanel bug everything in our power was done to resolve it, and it was not a preventable outage.
