Yesterday s105 experienced an outage caused by the server crashing. Upon coming back up, FreeBSD forced the system to do a background fsck, this made the server inaccessible for an extended period of time. During this process its not possible to cancel the background fsck, so the only way to resolve the issue was wait for it to complete.
The issue has now been resolved, but to avoid further such occurences we will be moving all acccounts off s105, onto a new, faster, and more reliable server. This server is running Linux which with past experience has been more stable than FreeBSD+cPanel.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the downtime caused by this outage, SLA refunds will be provided upon request for this outage - but must be submitted within 10 days of the outage.
Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
Kind Regards,
Aaron Weller

Update:
The issue has resurfaced today, we are working as quickly as possible to resolve it. It appears the server crashed again, and upon coming back up forced an fsck. This fsck can not be stopped, and will stop the server from running until completed. To resolve this quicker we are booting the server into single user mode, to complete the fsck.
Unfortunately FreeBSD (the OS) forces this fsck (file system check) and there is no way to stop it - so until it has been completed the server will not be accessible.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused, and as a result of this outage we will start moving the accounts immediately of this server to a new server.
Please feel free to submit a support ticket if there is anything else we can help with.
Kind Regards,
Aaron Weller
